Got a $250 deposit from a new client, then they ghosted before the kickoff call in Rio Rancho

Anyone else have a client pay the first invoice and then disappear completely, or should I just write off that $250 and move on?

Hate when that happens, had the same thing last spring and never heard from them again.

Yeah @the_robin I feel that so hard. The last person who flaked on me I actually ran into at the grocery store two months later and we both pretended we didn't see each other. Like buddy, you could have just said you weren't interested, I'm not that scary. Honestly my follow up game is SO weak I probably deserved it. At this point I'm convinced the universe just sends these people to test my patience.
