Spent 90 minutes tracing a network issue that was a loose ethernet cable the whole time
I was about to rebuild the router config for a client's home office before I noticed the cable just needed a firm push into the wall jack, has anyone else wasted a whole afternoon on something this dumb?

Has anyone else ever kicked themselves that hard for missing the most obvious thing? I spent three hours once trying to figure out why my home printer wouldn't connect to the wifi. Turned out I had the wrong network selected on the printer itself. Just a simple dropdown menu choice, nothing fancy. Felt like a real idiot walking back to my desk after that one. But hey, at least we learn something from the dumb mistakes, right?

Three hours? Man, I woulda started throwing things by the 45 minute mark. That's some serious patience you got there, I'd have probably kicked the printer by hour two.

Oh I've definitely been that level of oblivious, just staring at a dropdown for an hour.
