That $7 taco stand near Old Town gave me my best networking hour yet

I was grabbing lunch at that little green cart on Route 66 last Tuesday, the one with the ridiculously good al pastor. While I'm waiting I pull out my phone to check emails and this guy next to me sees my freelance logo on a sticker. Turns out he's a graphic designer who needed a cleaner for his Airbnb units, and we ended up trading services right there on the curb. Has anyone else made a solid connection at a random food spot in ABQ?

Wait the owner actually went on a ride-along with a customer and closed a deal over tacos? That's wild, I can barely eat a taco without getting salsa on my shirt let alone seal a business agreement. @scott.alex I mean, we basically worked out the whole trade right there by the cart, just shook on it after we finished eating.

Was that taco stand also where you two worked out the details of the trade, or did you exchange info and sort it all out later? Curious if the whole deal was sealed over hot sauce or if it took a follow-up phone call to lock it in. The al pastor there is genuinely fantastic, but Ive never bumped into a business contact mid-bite.

Read the owner did a ride-along with a customer once and closed the deal over chorizo tacos.
