That one Tuesday last month where everything actually went right

I had this one day where I landed a $600 gig in the morning and then found out another project I was stressing about got pushed back. No angry emails, no last minute changes. Just smooth sailing for like 8 hours straight. Usually something falls apart but that day was just golden. Has anyone else had a random perfect day like that?

Oh man @laura_wilson you totally nailed it with that warm memory thing. I had a day like that about three years ago where I woke up late but somehow still caught every green light on the way to the coffee shop, then my usual order was already paid for by some mystery person who left before I could thank them. Then later that afternoon I found twenty bucks in an old jacket pocket I forgot I even had. It was like the whole universe was just on my side for no reason. I still replay that day in my head when I'm having a rough week.

...and that twenty bucks thing would be my luck running in reverse. I once found a five dollar bill in an old coat and was so excited until I remembered that coat was my ex’s and the money probably came from a dry cleaning bag. The universe is definitely not on my side, it’s like it’s just watching me from a distance and occasionally throws me a scrap to keep me going. But hey, at least I can still get a coffee with that five bucks, so maybe it’s not all bad.

Just smooth sailing for like 8 hours straight" - that's exactly what I had a few months ago. Woke up to find my car had a flat tire but then realized I had a gift card for a free tire replacement from that place I bought them. Everything just fell into place after that. No missed deadlines, no angry clients, no traffic jams. The universe was like "okay, you get a pass today." I still think about that day whenever things go wrong, which is often. It's like a little warm memory I can pull out and sniff.
