Took a chance on that $20 logo gig on Craigslist and it actually worked out

I was sure it was gonna be a scam or some super weird request, but dude paid me $20 upfront via Venmo for a simple logo. He sent back a revision request and then actually used the final file on his taco truck last week lol. Any of yall had a random gamble pay off like that?

That little taco truck logo sounds like a real find. Years ago I answered an ad for a guy needing help organizing his garage. He paid me $30 cash to sort through boxes of old sports cards and memorabilia. Ended up finding a signed baseball from the '80s that I sold online for over a hundred bucks. Never did hear back from him about the rest of the stuff, but it was a nice little surprise.

Hold on @angela728, I gotta push back here. Finding a signed baseball worth a hundred bucks in a random garage is a great story, but the guy paid you $30 just to sort through his stuff and you sold it without ever trying to contact him again? That feels more like a lucky snag than a nice surprise, especially if he was trusting you with his personal boxes.

Man that "lol" at the end is kinda weird, he paid you upfront so no big deal lol.
