Wrote off flat rate pricing for local gigs for 3 years, then a plumber in Nob Hill changed my mind in one lunch
I always billed hourly because I figured flat rate meant eating the overruns, but after 3 years of losing bids to other freelancers around Central Ave and a 45 minute talk with a plumber here in Nob Hill who showed me his numbers, I switched every recurring client over last week and already booked two more jobs at higher rates, so now I'm wondering if anyone else in ABQ made this jump and how you handle the scope creep calls.
