Too perfect? Time to add some digital dirt.

Man, that's a really good point. I used to just crank up all the settings for super clean lines and perfect lighting. Hearing someone call it "too perfect" actually makes total sense now. It's like a brand new car with no scratches, it just feels fake. I've started adding little mistakes on purpose, like a slightly wobbly line or a smudge.

Totally get that, I was the same way for years. Gray314 has a point about digital dirt, it's the little flaws that make things feel alive. You're onto something with those wobbly lines.

Ever try sketching with your non-dominant hand for a bit? It forces those wobbly lines in and you can't overcorrect them. I keep a layer just for those messy passes and drop the opacity way down, it adds that grit without looking like a total mistake.
