Can we talk about that advice to use AI for SEO content?

Last month my coworker Dave insisted I use an AI writer to crank out 50 blog posts for my website. He said Google wouldn't care since the content would be high quality. I spent 3 days feeding it keywords and fixing weird sentences. Google dropped my traffic by 40% after the update 2 weeks ago. Now I'm stuck rewriting everything myself. Has anyone else had AI content backfire like this?

Wait wait wait... 50 posts in 3 days? That means Dave had you cranking out like 16 posts a day? That's insane for SEO content. Probably why Google saw it all as spammy junk regardless of how much you fixed the wording. Plus feeding keywords into an AI without proper topic research usually just ends up sounding like a robot throwing buzzwords at the wall. You think Google's update targeted low-effort bulk content or something else?

Bruh that sucks, I just saw a thread on r/SEO about how Google's new update is really cracking down on AI stuff. Heard some guy lost like 60% of his traffic overnight.

60% overnight? Guess Dave's not buying that boat after all.
