Dropped $80 on a Jasper AI subscription and cancelled within 48 hours
I signed up for Jasper AI last Tuesday thinking it would save me hours on product descriptions for my small shop (the one I run out of my garage). The first few outputs were okay but then I noticed it kept repeating the same phrases, like calling every shirt "elevated comfort." I spent more time editing than I would have just writing from scratch. I cancelled before the trial ended but still lost the $80 because I forgot to check the refund policy. Has anyone else had better luck with different AI writing tools for product copy?

I used to think AI tools were the future, but that "elevated comfort" thing sounds exactly like the junk I kept getting. It totally changed my mind about paying for these.

Different tools work different for different people, I've had good results with the right prompt and a little patience.

It's like how every new kitchen gadget promises to change your life but half of them just take up counter space. Same pattern with tech - companies rush stuff out the door before it's actually ready for normal people to use. A buddy of mine spent $60 on some writing app and got paragraphs that sounded like a robot trying to be a poet at a funeral. When things don't work right the first time, it's hard to want to give them another shot, no matter how much potential they might have.
