Finally got my home assistant to stop turning the lights on at 3 AM

The automation script for my living room lamps had a weird bug for about a month where it would trigger randomly in the middle of the night. I finally sat down yesterday and found the issue was a conflicting time zone setting in the node-red flow. Has anyone else had a similar glitch with their smart home setup?

Oh come on, a few midnight lights? It's basically a free haunted house feature. My cat still hasn't forgiven me for the last time my place lit up like a UFO landing. What's the weirdest glitch you've had to fix?

Seriously, a few midnight lights are that big of a deal?

Try sleeping when your whole room flashes like a disco at 3 AM.

And honestly it kind of is a big deal when you're getting woken up for no reason every single night. Sleep is hard enough to come by as it is, and having lights flip on at 3 AM messes with your whole rhythm. I had a similar issue with a motion sensor that kept thinking my cat was a person, and it drove me nuts for weeks before I figured out the sensitivity was too high. Eventually I just turned the whole thing off and went back to using a regular switch for a while because it wasn't worth the headache. You don't realize how much you rely on a good night's sleep until some stupid automation wrecking it.
