I visited the old computer lab at my old high school last week
They still had the same beige boxes we used for typing class back in 2012. Now there's a whole corner with these sleek new setups running real-time AI art generators. The teacher said they got a grant for it about 8 months ago, and the kids use it for digital media projects. It's wild to think we learned basic PowerPoint while they're making animated shorts with a text prompt. Makes you wonder what tools they'll have in another ten years. Has anyone else seen AI tech popping up in unexpected old places like that?

My buddy works at the community college maintenance department. He was clearing out a storage closet full of old overhead projectors and film reels. Tucked in the back was a brand new cart with three of those fancy AI coding assistants, still in the box. The science department ordered them but never told anyone they arrived. Honestly, it was like finding a spaceship in a museum.

My local library just put in two AI writing tutors last month. Honestly it feels weird seeing them next to the old card catalog drawers.
