Rode a train with handwritten schedules, GPS killed it for me
Took Amtrak from Philly to NYC last week and the conductor still had a paper timetable with all the stops. I pulled up my GPS app on my phone and it showed the same arrival time, but the conductor caught a delay warning on the radio that the app totally missed. The human check plus the printed backup beat the algorithm, at least for that 90 minute ride. Has anyone else seen old-school methods outsmart the smart tech in real time?

Man, I used to be all about the apps and thought paper schedules were ancient history. Then my buddy's train got stuck for two hours while his GPS kept saying we were on time, and the conductor had already warned us twenty minutes before his phone showed anything. That little detail alone made me rethink the whole setup, honestly.
