Stood in a museum and watched an AI explain the exhibit to a kid

Took my nephew to the science museum in Denver last weekend, and they've got this AI kiosk that answers questions about the dinosaur bones. A little kid asked it why the T-Rex had such small arms, and the thing gave a full 3 minute answer with jokes and everything. The kid was locked in, way more than any audio guide I've ever seen. But what got me was the older folks, they just walked past it like it was a vending machine. Is anyone else noticing AI stuff showing up in public spaces way faster than people actually use it, or was this just a weird museum crowd?
