The self-checkout at a Home Depot in Reno tried to guess my mood and got it very wrong
So I'm standing there at 9pm buying sanding discs and this new camera system above the register flashes a little green light and the screen says it thinks I look "frustrated" and offers me a survey. I laughed out loud, because I was actually in a great mood, just tired from a 10 hour day laying vinyl plank. It got me thinking about how these vision models read people by face shape and light, and mine failed at like 12 feet under bad fluorescent bulbs. Anyone else get tagged wrong by one of these systems, or is it just me and the lighting in that aisle?
