I bought a fancy air fryer cookbook and it was a total waste of $22

I saw it at the store last week and thought it would have amazing recipes. Every single one I tried needed some weird ingredient I had to go buy, like panko breadcrumbs or smoked paprika. I spent more on the extra stuff than the book cost. Has anyone found a good book that just uses normal kitchen stuff?

Is it really that big of a deal though? Cookbooks always have some weird stuff, you just swap it out for what you have. I use my air fryer almost every day and I never follow a recipe exactly.

Lol @kellyallen, my friend swapped mayo for yogurt in a cake once and it was a total disaster.

Feel your pain on the weird ingredients (I once bought a jar of sumac for one recipe and it's still sitting there). I've learned to just google "easy air fryer [whatever I have]" and skip the books entirely. My own cookbook purchase mistake was a fancy grilling one that assumed I owned a meat smoker, which I definitely do not.
