I finally tried the 'air fryer' chicken wings at The Rusty Bucket in Dayton, and I'm not convinced.

Read somewhere that the Rusty Bucket actually par-cooks their wings in a pressure fryer. @torres.nathan you're probably right about the frozen thing. Air fryers are just convection ovens on steroids. Not going to fix rubbery meat. They need that initial high temp oil bath.

Wait, did they use frozen wings or something?

Yeah @torres.nathan, frozen wings can get rubbery if they're not patted dry and fried hot enough.

Ugh, that's a bummer. Were they just not crispy enough?
