I used to think air frying chicken thighs was pointless until I tried cornstarch
For years I just tossed thighs in oil and threw them in the basket, came out okay but never crispy on the skin side. Last month I saw a post in here about dusting them with a tablespoon of cornstarch before seasoning, and man the crunch was night and day different. Has anyone else tried that trick with other cuts like drumsticks or wings?

Cornstarch is a total game changer for wings too, just toss them in it before seasoning and they come out like legit crispy bar style wings. Only catch is you gotta pat them super dry first or it turns into a pasty mess. Definitely worth the extra step for drumsticks as well, just make sure to flip them halfway through.

Damn that dry patting tip is HUGE, I definitely made that pasty mess mistake the first time and wondered what I did wrong. Appreciate you confirming it works for wings and drums too, I'm definitely gonna try that this weekend.

Man that pasty mess is the worst, I felt so stupid when I figured out it was just me not drying them enough. Glad we're both on the same page now, it really does make all the difference.
