Just found out my air fryer uses less oil than I thought
I was looking through the manual for my air fryer last night and saw that it only uses about a tablespoon of oil for a full basket of fries. That surprised me because I always thought you needed at least a few tablespoons to get them crispy. I found this stat in the recipe guide that came with the fryer, right next to a tip about spraying veggies instead of drizzling. I tried it out with some frozen potato wedges and a light mist of olive oil, and they came out great. Made me wonder how many other details I missed in the booklet. Has anyone else found something in their air fryer's manual that changed how they cook?

Read that same thing in a magazine article a few months back.

Hold up, has nobody stopped to think about where that magazine writer got their info from? Honestly, half the time those articles just recycle stuff from other news sites or even random Reddit threads. Ngl, I've spotted the same "new study" being passed around for months with different titles. So it might not be that we're both reading the same truth, just the same copy-paste cycle. Tbh, I'd take it with a grain of salt unless it's citing a primary source or a real expert, not just another blogger.

Yeah but @robin896, did the magazine even name their source or just drop a vague "experts say"?
