See, I tried that and it just made a mess. The grease splatters everywhere inside the air fryer and it never gets as crispy as a skillet. I'll stick with the cast iron pan every time, way easier to clean up after.

My buddy tried it and had the same mess @rowanw91 mentioned. He said cleaning the air fryer basket after was worse than just washing a pan.

You have got to be kidding me. Cleaning the air fryer basket is worse than washing a pan? I cannot imagine how greasy that bacon must have been. A good cast iron pan just needs a quick scrub with some salt and a paper towel, maybe a little soap if you mess up the seasoning. I have never had an air fryer mess that took more than a few minutes with hot water and a scrub brush. Your buddy must have let that grease sit and turn into cement if he thinks that is harder than a pan. I am genuinely baffled by this take.
