Paid $40 for a silicone liner that melted into my fries
Saw those fancy silicone air fryer liners on Amazon and figured why not. Threw one in at 400 degrees for some frozen fries and went to check my email. 15 minutes later my kitchen smelled like a tire fire and the liner had fused itself to the basket and my fries. Took me 30 minutes of scraping with a metal spatula to get the melted goo off. Anyone else have these things turn into a science experiment gone wrong?

Total disaster here too, mine melted into a sticky black puddle after five minutes at 375.

Five minutes at 375? Mine didn't even make it that long. I had a batch where the bottoms just fell out after about three minutes and oozed all over the baking sheet. Then the paper liners turned translucent and stuck to everything. It was like trying to peel wet tissue paper off a hot tar pit.

And then you gotta wonder if the fumes are toxic too, probably breathing in melted plastic air.
