PSA: My sister said my air fryer chicken was too dry and she was right
She came over for dinner last month and straight up told me my chicken thighs were like eating a sponge, lol. I was just cooking them at 400 degrees for 20 minutes like I always did. She said to try way less time. So I did a test with a meat thermometer and found they were perfect at 375 for only 12-14 minutes, depending on size. The skin still gets crispy but the inside is actually juicy now. Has anyone else had to totally change their cook times for something?

My brother had the same issue with his air fryer pork chops. He was following a recipe card that came with the unit, and everything was coming out tough. A cooking blog said those times are often way off because they assume frozen meat. What temp do you use for chicken breasts, or do you even bother with them?

My friend's chicken breasts at 375 were perfect.

Oh man, that reminds me of my first time using a slow cooker. I followed the recipe exactly for a pot roast and it turned into total mush, like meat soup. I was so mad because I wasted a good cut of meat. Turns out the recipe was for a much bigger, older model that ran cooler. My new one cooks way hotter and faster. Had to cut all the times by almost half. Do you find newer appliances just run hotter in general?
