Stop crowding the basket with frozen fries

I keep seeing people dump a whole bag of frozen fries in there. That's how you get soggy mess. Did it myself last week. Half were limp, half were burnt. Space them out in a single layer. Took me 3 batches to learn. Anyone else make this mistake?
