A worn-out 10mm socket almost cost me a whole afternoon on a Cessna 172 last Tuesday

The socket split while I was torquing a cylinder base nut, sending the wrench flying into the cowling. What's your go-to brand for sockets that can handle the daily abuse?

Snap-on's 10mm impact sockets are the only ones I've never managed to blow up. I've had the same set for eight years in my shop, and they've seen way more ugga-duggas than any aircraft bolt should need. That thin-wall design they use is just tougher. You pay for it, but not as much as paying for a new cowling.

Snap-on's thin walls always crack under my gun.
