One stubborn exhaust valve on a 737 took me 14 hours across 3 shifts

Finally found it was a hairline crack in the guide that only showed up after I pulled the whole assembly and ran a borescope at a weird angle, has anyone else had a part that just refused to make sense until you got it on the bench?
