That $60 carb synch tool from Amazon saved my bacon on a 172

Picked up one of those cheap four-cylinder carb synch gauges for a Lycoming O-320 that was running rough as hell. Took about 45 minutes and it smoothed right out, no more vibration on climbout. Anyone else use those budget synch tools or do you stick with the expensive blue one?

Snagged one myself, works great for the price (can't beat that).

You got one too, huh? I gotta ask though, did yours actually come with all the screws it was supposed to? Mine was missing two and I had to dig through my spare parts bin to finish the setup. Not a huge deal for the price, but kinda annoying if you don't have extras lying around. Anyway, yeah, it's a solid little unit for what it costs.

Gotta love when something actually lives up to the hype lol. I always expect to be let down when stuff is cheap but this one surprised me too. Still waiting for the day when I accidentally break it and have to buy another, but so far so good. Honestly the price is low enough that I wouldn't even be mad if it crapped out in a year, that's how good a deal it is.
