That week in Memphis that nearly broke me

Back in 2019 I had a string of three days where every single plane coming through had some kind of hydraulic leak. I spent 14 hours straight chasing a seep on a CRJ-200 that turned out to be a 3 dollar o-ring that was seated wrong at the factory. The worst part was the lead mechanic kept telling me 'you'll get faster' while I was covered in skydrol. Has anyone else had a week where every single snag felt like it was personal?

Sounds like a rough Tuesday, not a near-death experience.

Wait, did nobody notice the part where they said they blacked out for a few seconds? That's not just "a rough Tuesday" lol. I've had some awful days at work but never literally lost consciousness from stress. That sounds like a medical issue, not just a bad day. If your body is literally shutting down from panic like that, it crosses into legit scary territory no matter how dramatic it sounds.

Right, exactly. Blacking out even for a few seconds is a big deal. I had a panic attack once at the grocery store where everything went fuzzy and I nearly dropped to the floor. Felt like my heart was trying to jump out of my chest and for a second there I thought I was having a heart attack. You don't forget that kind of fear, it's not just some bad day.
