Back when every install came with a roll of wire and a trusty drill
I found my old tool bag from ten years ago full of wire strippers and crimpers. It hit me how most jobs now just need a smartphone and a steady Wi-Fi signal. What's one piece of old gear you just can't let go of?

Nah, my phone actually made all that old stuff obsolete, lol.

But physical keyboards were way better for typing.

Totally get that feeling with keyboards. You could actually feel when you hit the right key without looking. Now it's just guessing on a flat piece of glass.

Remember my old cable tester that looked like a walkie talkie. It feels solid in your hand, not like some app that just guesses. A steady light tells you the line is good, no software updates needed. That thing never lies to you, and it works when the network is down. Smart tools are great until they need a login or a charged battery.
