Changed my mind about those wireless glass break sensors
Always thought they were a gimmick for cheap systems. Had a client in Tampa insist on them for a historic home. Installed a set from Qolsys, tested them myself with a real glass break tool. They caught every single break, even through thick curtains. Anyone else running into more wireless installs where you can't run wire?

Yeah, had the same surprise with a recent retrofit job.

Man, I used to think it was all about speed too.

Actually saw a retrofit last month that went perfectly smooth. Sometimes the problems @the_riley mentioned are from rushing the planning stage. A good crew with clear specs makes all the difference.

That smooth retrofit is a good reminder how often we skip the prep work in a rush to get things done. Feels like everywhere you look people are jumping into things without drawing up a solid plan first. A little extra time on the front end saves a whole lot of headache on the back end.
