Customer complaint about sensor placement fixed my whole approach
Back in March I did a residential install in Tacoma and the homeowner called me out for putting a motion sensor directly across from a heat vent. They said it would false alarm every winter, and honestly I thought they were just being picky. Three weeks later they called me back at 2am because it tripped when the furnace kicked on. I moved the sensor to a corner mount and angled it away from the vent, and now I walk every room checking airflow before I drill anything. Has anyone else had a customer catch something you missed on the first pass?
