Pro tip: Learned the hard way that checking for cell signal before installing a wireless panel saves hours of headache

Last Tuesday in a basement in Nashville I had to rip out and relocate a whole panel because the metal ductwork killed the signal, has anyone else run into surprise dead zones on installs?

Man I did a job last year in a old warehouse with concrete walls and a steel roof, thought I was safe with the panel up high but the signal dropped to nothing after the drywall guys sealed everything up. Ended up running a external antenna out a roof vent, looked janky but it worked.

thought I was safe" is exactly how every project I've ever done has started out. It's funny how stuff like that makes you realize we live in this invisible world of signals and dead zones that nobody notices until it's too late. Have you run into any other spots where wireless just completely fails?

Wait, did you try putting something simple like a wireless bridge before going full external antenna route, or did it just flat out refuse to work with anything?
