Walked into a big box store and their alarm system was a joke
I stopped by the Home Depot in Columbus, Ohio last weekend and noticed their security setup near the tool aisle. The motion sensor was pointing straight at a shelf with no coverage for the back corner, and the keypad was mounted way too low. How do stores this big get away with such sloppy installation work?

Yeah that keypad being too low is a dead giveaway nobody checked the install. I've seen where you can just pop those things off the wall with a screwdriver if they're not secured right.

I learned that lesson when I tried to adjust one and the whole thing popped off like a Lego brick. Real premium install right there.

Pop a flathead behind that keypad and it's gone before you even realize what happened. Had a customer bring one back last week that fell off their wall just from the door closing hard. Thing was dangling by the wires inside the wall cavity. Real hack job install all the way through. Makes you wonder who's actually putting these things in.
