Finally got to test a battery-powered pole saw against my old gas one on a big willow job in Springfield

The battery saw was way quieter and lighter, which made a huge difference working over a client's patio for three hours straight, so what other battery tools are actually worth the switch for climbing work?

Just wait until you try a battery chainsaw, right? You'll never go back to that gas smoke show.

Heard they're great for small jobs but what about cutting big logs all day? Batteries die fast under heavy use and swapping packs gets pricey. Gas still wins for real work.

Yeah, I was reading a forum where a guy swore by his battery-powered top-handle saw for pruning. Said the instant torque and no warm-up meant he could make a few quick cuts, set it down, and not worry about it idling or stalling out up in the canopy.

And that's the thing, people don't always think about how much time you waste messing with a gas saw in a tree. You gotta choke it, pull the cord a few times, let it warm up, and if you set it down wrong it floods or stalls and you're back to square one. Battery saw you just grab it, hit the button, and you're cutting in two seconds flat. Plus you're not breathing in exhaust fumes while you're trying to balance on a branch, that alone is worth the swap for pruning work.
