My crew lead insists on using old ropes past their safe life
I've seen the fraying on our climbing lines. He says they're fine to save money. Last week, one snapped during a simple limb walk. Luckily no one was hurt, but it was close. I told the boss, and he just shrugged. Now I'm thinking about leaving this company. It's not worth risking my neck for their cheap ways.

Shrugging at a snapped rope is a wild choice. Guess the budget's more important than your spine.

Actually had a close call with some old climbing gear last year. Now I just replace anything questionable, no matter the cost. Saving money isn't worth the hospital trip lol.

Remember when my bike helmet cracked just from falling off a curb.

My old helmet did that, tossed it after five years.
