Warning: I thought the new tree growth regulator was just a sales pitch for a while.
A city job in Tacoma had us treat some maples on a tight street, and the reduction in pruning cycles was real, like going from every 18 months to over 3 years. I was wrong to brush it off just because it seemed fancy. Has anyone else seen results that changed their mind on a product like this?

Wrong to brush it off" describes my whole career.

Had a buddy who swore off those boroscope cameras. Thought they were overpriced toys for homeowners. Then he spent three hours fishing a dropped socket out of a wall at his own house.

Guess you're a professional duster then.

My buddy was the same way about those root barrier fabrics. Called them a total scam for years. Then his crew had to fix a sidewalk wrecked by some oaks, and the city made them put the fabric in. He had to eat his words when the same job came up five years later and the concrete was still totally flat. Makes you wonder what else we write off too fast, like lilyt23 calling someone a duster for trying new stuff. Sometimes the fancy gear actually works.
