A locksmith in Reno showed me how to pop my own car door with a shoelace, and I owe him $20 I never paid
I locked my keys in my Corolla outside a Savers on South Virginia Street and a guy walking by said he could get it open with a shoelace and a knot trick he learned in the Navy. I figured he was about to ask for $100 or rob me, but he did it in about 40 seconds and just wanted a handshake. I tried the same knot on my buddy's Civic a month later and it actually worked. Now I keep a 45 inch flat lace in my glovebox and I've used it three times. Has anyone else had a random stranger teach them something that sounded fake but turned out to be real?
