I finally figured out why people keep asking the same question about freelance contracts over and over.

Watch someone ask if they really need a contract for a five thousand dollar project... then watch that same person post a week later asking how to sue a client who won't pay. It's like watching someone refuse to use an umbrella in a rainstorm and then act shocked when they get wet. The answer is always the same boring paperwork they didn't want to do.

Right? It's like the answer never sticks because nobody wants to read the fine print. They just want a quick fix and hope their situation is the special exception. You see it all the time in those freelance groups, the same post about payment terms every single day. It gets tiring after a while, doesn't it? People are just looking for reassurance, not the actual contract law.

Yeah, it's that quick fix thing. They want someone to tell them it's okay to skip the contract or that a handshake deal is enough. Then they get burned when a client ghosts them after the work is done. They'll ask about late payments but won't put a late fee in their terms. It's a cycle of avoiding the boring stuff and then panicking later.
