I used to think all cloud storage was the same until I lost 3 years of photos
My buddy kept telling me to check the sync settings on Google Drive but I ignored him. Lost all my tax docs from 2020-2022 because I had it set to 'free up space' and it deleted originals. Anyone else catch themselves trusting the cloud too much?

Local backups are your real safety net.

Yeah @dylan_ward's got it right, my friend learned that one the hard way too with his whole music collection.
