Shoutout to the guy at the tire shop in Tulsa who told me to patch instead of replace
I was set to drop $190 on a new tire after a nail near the sidewall, but he said plug it and watch the pressure for a week. It's held at 32 psi for 3 months now and he only took $25. Has anyone had a plug actually fail on them, or is the sidewall rule not as strict as everyone says?
Ngl that tire guy sounds like a wizard who decided to work at a tire shop instead of a castle. Sidewall nail usually means new tire, so dude basically bent the rules and saved you $165, respect. Just don't come back crying when it blows out at 80 on the turnpike.
