I run a small forum for local history buffs, and we started an 'Ask Me Anything' style event with a guest expert. I set up the thread, but our automated system kept removing it for 'suspicious activity.' I checked the spam filters, user permissions, and even the post length. Nothing worked. I finally called our hosting support, and after two hours on hold, the tech had me check one specific plugin setting I didn't even know existed. It was set to block any post title containing the word 'anything' because of an old spam wave. Three days of headache for a single toggle switch. Has anyone else run into a weird rule in their forum software that caused a huge delay?
