The Horsehead Nebula looks way sharper in new photos compared to my old book

I pulled out my old 'Atlas of the Universe' from 1998 and compared its shot of the Horsehead Nebula to the new James Webb Space Telescope image. The detail is insane now, you can see the gas clouds and dust structures that were just a fuzzy blob before. Do you think this kind of progress makes older astro photos less valuable, or are they still important to show how far we've come?

Found my old star chart and it looks like a blurry mess now.

Thought it was junk until I saw it again.
