Can we talk about how I used to post in ATL chat with a username vs now
Back in 2019 I was in the ATL Local Chat room every single night under some dumb name like PeachtreePete22, typing out long rants about MARTA delays and Braves games. Now I just lurk with my real first name and a picture, and honestly the vibe is way different because nobody knows who anybody is anymore. Last Tuesday I watched two people go back and forth for 40 minutes about whether the Varsity chili dogs got smaller, and neither one of them would say where they actually live. I miss when you could tell who was from Decatur vs who was from Smyrna just by how they typed. Has anyone else noticed the chat feels more like strangers yelling now instead of neighbors talking?

I was HotlantaHal99 back in the day and I'm pretty sure half my posts were just me being wrong about the Falcons. You're right that the old names told you something, because I could spot a Cobb County guy by how fast he got mad about the Braves. Now it's just faceless arguing and I'm part of the problem since I mostly lurk too.
