Dropped $340 on a chat app subscription for the neighborhood board and it broke in a month
Our neighborhood board here in Atlanta was using a free group text thing and it kept dropping people, so I pushed us to pay for a chat app. $340 for the year, paid up front, and it worked great for about three weeks. Then the app pushed an update and suddenly half the board couldn't log in, and the other half got every message twice. I spent two evenings on chat with their support before a guy named Marcus finally told me the fix was to clear the cache on each phone one by one. For $340 a year I figured we'd get more than a cache clearing routine. Has anyone found a chat setup for a group of 20 or so people that doesn't fall apart after an update?
