Had a guy at the gas station tell me his dog could forecast Atlanta traffic jams
He said if the dog starts pacing in circles before 7am, I should take side streets instead, and wouldn't you know it, three days in a row the dog was right - has anyone else gotten weird but useful local tips from random strangers?

adding on to what @blair_torres70 said, i think it's also about noticing what the dog is actually picking up on. maybe it's sensing a change in air pressure or hearing distant sirens that you can't hear yet. i'd keep using the tip but still check my traffic app just in case the dog is off that day.

Bet the dog's traffic predicting skills are about as reliable as my weather app saying "sunny" while I'm standing in a downpour. Next thing you know people will be consulting their cats about stock market trends and following squirrels for weather forecasts. But hey, if Fido's batting average is better than Google Maps, might as well give him a shot.

Three days ain't proof of anything man. That could just be a coincidence or the dog picking up on the owner's own anxiety about traffic. People see patterns everywhere and then get surprised when they find one that sticks. Plus if the dog's wrong one day you probably won't even remember it, just the days it was right. I'd need a lot more than three mornings to start rearranging my commute because of some random guy's pet.
