Had to choose between two local gyms and picked the wrong one

So I moved to Decatur last month and had to pick between this new fancy gym with all the machines or the old school spot down the street that's been there 20 years. I went with the fancy one because it had a sauna and smoothie bar. After two weeks I realized the old school place is way more my speed - half the price at $35 a month, nobody's flexing for Instagram, and the owner actually remembers your name. Now I'm stuck in a year contract at the first place paying $70. Anyone else ever pick the flashy option and regret it?

Did you check the contract for an early exit fee?

@parker_webb called it, read that fine print hard. I talked my way out of one by threatening to dispute it with the bank lol.
