My car detail side gig finally paid for itself after that one big job

I spent $85 on a decent pressure washer and foam cannon back in March, and after detailing 3 cars last weekend for $150 each, it's finally covering its cost, so has anyone else hit that point where a tool finally earns its keep?

Oh man, that's such a good feeling when you finally see the return on something you bought. I get it completely, it's like the tool finally proves it was worth the money.

I read an article last week that said people remember the price of a tool way longer than the cost of fixing something without it. That stuck with me because it's true. My neighbor spent $80 on a good drain snake three years ago and still talks about how it paid for itself after the first clog. Most stuff we buy is a gamble until that moment comes along and proves it was worth it.
