Random lady at the DMV saved my whole afternoon

I was stuck in the Peachtree St DMV line for about 2 hours, the one by the old Sears building. The guy in front of me kept arguing about his address proof, and I was about to bail. This older woman behind me just tapped my shoulder and said, "Honey, they only check the zip code on the top line, relax." She showed me how to fold my bill so the expiration date was hidden, and I got through in 15 minutes flat. Has anyone else gotten a random pro tip from a stranger in a government office?

Oh gosh, that's a lifesaver for sure! Did she happen to mention if that zip code trick works for the car registration too, or just the license renewal? I've got to go to the one off Memorial Drive next week and I'm already dreading it...
