Tried to take a shortcut through the Krog Street Tunnel and my GPS lost its mind

I was heading home from Decatur last Tuesday around 6pm and thought I'd save 10 minutes by cutting through the Krog Street Tunnel. Big mistake - my phone completely froze up and rerouted me into a dead end behind a warehouse. I sat there for 15 minutes watching a stray cat judge me while I fumbled to reset the navigation. Has anyone else had their GPS totally crap out around that area?

You said your GPS "lost its mind" near the Krog Street Tunnel, but it's actually the train bridge across the street that messes with signals, not the tunnel itself. The metal structure and overhead wires from the MARTA tracks can interfere with GPS and cell reception pretty badly. Did you try using a paper map or just following the train tracks to find your way out?

Yeah, it's wild how many everyday spots just eat signals like that. I've noticed this pattern where the things we rely on most (like GPS) fail us right when we need them, but older methods like reading a map or just paying attention to landmarks always work. It's like technology gives us confidence but not always the actual skill to get around, you know?

Course, the one time I really needed my GPS it took me on a scenic tour of a construction site, so I guess I'm the one who lost my mind.
