Best week I've had at a mixer in a long time

Went to that Tuesday night thing at Manuel's Tavern two weeks ago. I walked in expecting the usual awkward small talk where everyone checks your nametag and moves on. But this time I met three people who actually do related work and we traded referrals on the spot. One guy runs a commercial cleaning crew and I gave him a lead on a warehouse client I was turning down. Has anyone else had a night where the room just clicks like that?

Read a study once that said random good nights happen about 15% of the time.

So how many of those 15% are completely random strangers, or does it include people you kinda know? @ivan462, if you're the one collecting that data, I gotta ask - are you out here in the parking lot with a clipboard counting how many times someone yells "good night" at a passing car? That study sounds like something I'd come up with after a long day of trimming hedges and just making up percentages to justify my own weird habits.

That Tuesday night thing at Manuel's Tavern has had its moments for me too (usually hit or miss), but man when it clicks it really clicks. Love hearing when a mixer night actually delivers like that.
