Found out last week that 80% of Atlanta networking events are actually just vendor pitches

Man that ratio is brutal. I started checking agendas ahead of time and skipping anything that doesn't have at least 30 minutes of actual Q&A or open discussion.

Honestly skipping agendas that light is missing some quality sessions though.

Yeah but @mason_murray8 do you actually get value from those sessions or is it just more of the same vendor talk? I started doing what the_felix said and only go to events where the agenda shows real discussion time, it filters out most of the junk. I mean maybe there's a few good ones hidden in there but the ratio of pitches to actual networking is still way off.
