Heard a guy at the Buckhead coffee shop say networking is dead
Ngl it made me laugh because I literally just landed a $4,000 moving contract off a handshake at a Chamber mixer last Thursday. Has anyone else noticed the same old faces at events now or is it just my side of town?

Yeah but that guy probably thinks networking means sliding into DMs instead of actually showing up and shaking hands. Real connections still happen face to face, no app can replace that.

Wait wait wait, you're telling me someone actually thinks sliding into DMs counts as networking now? That's wild to me because I've never landed a single solid opportunity without looking someone in the eye first. Apps can help you find people but they can't replace that real vibe check you get in person.
